This is how the (cul-de-sac) narrow surfaced lane to Hay farm continues, as a kind of "Green lane". It is also a public footpath. Fields around are almost bereft of gates, and hedges have gaps, so are used to grow cereal crops and grass for mowing, rather the grazing.
