This is a view down Castle Road from close to the castle barbican. On the right the gothic arch is the entrance to the gardens of a 19th century house called The Towers, see also Image . The burial ground on the left contains the grave to Anne Bronte whilst the path along the Castle Dykes joins Castle Road close to the silver car. The focus of the photograph is the medieval church of St Mary sited close to the castle.
