For many years this business was run by Packer & Slade Funeral Services. In 1992 the business was acquired by the former Oxford Swindon & Gloucester Co-operative Society. The business continued under its original name but recently it has been rebranded The Co-operative Funeralcare incorporating Packer & Slade. The co-operative society is now the Mid-Counties Co-operative. The building itself is a former chapel. A cross remains on the roof. The front, which looks like a small conservatory, is a recent addition and doesn't seem to fit in very well with the rest of the building. But that's just a personal opinion!
