A Thai restaurant on the southern side of the village green opposite the Tiger Inn. The house above is called Little Hill and was built in the 1920s on what is marked East Dean's 1844 tithe map as Woolgar's Field. The field itself was named after a former 19th century Riding Officer, employed to watch the coasts against smuggling, who was so unsuccessful at his profession that he somehow managed to purchase a house and the field which bore his name on the pittance of a Riding Officer's salary.
