The Albert Bridge gives this view across the river to the spired churches of St Mary and All Saints, the pinnacled (former) church of St John the Baptist and the castellated tower of St George. Stamford has had at least twelve place of worship, to my knowledge. The river runs from Sibbertoft, Northamptonshire, to The Wash and drops around 500 ft (152.4 m) over the 65 miles (105 km) of its length.
