Opened in 1840 by the Midland Counties Railway on the line from Leicester to Loughborough, this station closed in 1968 and was demolished. It was rebuilt and reopened in 1994. View north towards Barrow-upon-Soar and Loughborough. The original station had two platforms serving the "fast" tracks to the left only. The reopened station has platforms serving only the two tracks to the right.
