View eastward from A6009 Portland Road, with Worksop to the left, Nottingham to the right. Until closed from 12/10/64, this was Mansfield Town station on the ex-Midland Nottingham - Worksop line, with goods traffic here until 6/75. Between 1993 and 1998, the route was reopened in stages as the Robin Hood Line, Mansfield station being resurrected in 1995 - shortly after this photograph. Note the large bill-board.
