A Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company class 100 unit with vehicle 50352 leading calls at Reddish North. These units entered service in 1956. One of the less successful of the modernisation plan diesel multiple unit types, withdrawal of the class began as early as 1969 although the type did hang on in passenger service until 1988.
