The boarded up windows give a bleak appearance to this abandoned mansion house. The home of Lord Gray, Gray House was built from 1714 - 1716 and was held by the family until the late nineteenth century. The house is currently derelict following the abandonment of plans to renovated it for use as a country hotel. In the local area the building is rumoured to be haunted but this doesn't appear to have kept vandals and graffiti artists at bay.
