This modern Church is built on the site of the former Hanover United Methodist Church … which was at times known as the Hanover Methodist Centre or Hanover Chapel. Behind the Jesus Centre and connected to it, are two detached houses, namely, numbers 23 and 25 Filey Street. These are also connected to each other with a superb looking building glazed in Stained Glass. I understand number 23 was at one time was the address of the Church Secretary, and at another time was the Church Manse. Number 23 is also dedicated as a WW1 War Memorial The Royal Hallamshire Hospital is visible in the background. For more views of the houses attached to the Church … see … Image Image Image Image Image
