Christ Church, on Beech Street, is a Grade II Listed Building (English Heritage ID:185587 http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-185587-christ-church-lancashire British Listed Buildings). It was completed in 1854. The church was closed in 2012 and the congregation now shares the nearby Methodist church (http://www.rossendalefreepress.co.uk/news/local-news/bacups-last-c-e-church-1704602 Rossendale Free Press).
