This bank was originally a branch of the National Provincial Bank. The National Provincial acquired the District Bank in 1962, and in 1968 these two Banks were merged with the Westminster Bank, to become the National Westminster Bank - NatWest in modern parlance. When the branch became redundant and closed, the ornate building was purchased and used by Vanguard UK, who were (I believe) Specialist Computer Brokers.
