The railway through Strathmore between Perth and Aberdeen. It featured in the railway races of the late 19th century between the Caledonian Railway and North British Railway. The track was lifted in the early 1980s and this section of the track is now a core path (STAN/115). Unfortunately it is obstructed at the Stanley end by barbed wire and offensive signage. The obstacle can be passed by using a neighbouring field.
