One of the leading hotels in the Low Town area of Bridgnorth, it came under new management in October 2012. Following this all the rooms were refurbished and the top floor was rebuilt. This photograph dates from before these changes. The building is Grade II listed and parts date from the early 19th century, with the inner core of the building thought to date from the 17th century. It is known to have belonged to a John Singe in 1672. It was first licensed in 1820 and in 1851 it was recorded as being a Commercial and Posting House. Photographed from Mill Street.
