This view of solar panels on the roof on a house in Magnolia Close was taken on an overcast day in early December. The combination of cloud cover, short duration of daylight (less than 8 hours today) and the low midday angle of the winter sun (about 17 degrees at this latitude) must have resulted in a very low capture of energy by the panels today.
