There are two villages in Shropshire called Cross Houses. This is the one near Shrewsbury. With the closure of the Fox Inn some years ago, the Bell is its last surviving public house. It is on the A458 road. The pub used to be owned by the Shrewsbury & Wem Brewery Co Ltd of Wem, Shropshire but is now owned by Admiral Taverns, which was sold to a US private equity firm early this year. Image Image
