Note that the gantry spans both carriageways – confirmed by other recent photos. The earliest is Roy Hughes' Image taken April 2009. Google's satellite photo of the junction shows a gantry 100 metres or so further west spanning the north/west carriageway only (left). Inspection of the photo reveals the watermark © 2008 Google. So the imagery that Google has acquired and copyrighted is nearly five years out of date.
