Opened in 1871 as "West End for Kilburn & Hampstead" by the Midland Railway on the line from London St Pancras to Bedford. The name was shortened to "West End" in 1903, then became "West Hampstead & Brondesbury" in 1904, "West Hampstead" from 1905 to 1950, then became "West Hampstead Midland" until 1988 when the current name was adopted. View east towards Finchley Road (Midland) and St Pancras.
