The Head Post Office was built in 1909 in the Baroque Revival style. It makes a very imposing feature of the Aberdeen Walk street scene along with the newspaper offices and the former Aberdeen Picture House to the north west. This Head Post Office replaced an earlier mid 19th century one in Huntriss Row which became the Labour Exchange
