Stockghyll Force is a waterfall on Stock Ghyll close to Ambleside; the path seen here leading to it leaves Stock Ghyll Lane which is east of the town centre. The tumbling water seen left of centre in the image is of course not the falls but water coming over a weir - the actual falls are rather more attractive.
