This Truman, Hanbury, Buxton public house was showing once again its original tiles proclaiming its owners and the name above the bar windows as it underwent renovation. In recent times it had been The Redback Tavern - a music venue with strong Antipodean connections. The venue closed in February 2013 after the Police approached Ealing Council to review the licence. At the time that this photograph was taken renovation was almost complete and the pub was due to reopen as The Aeronaut.
