By R. Jelinek-Karl, 1960, making it, according to Pevsner, "Bristol's first multi-storey car park". Structural engineers were Mander & Partners and E.N. Underwood. The era generated some interesting shapes for these most utilitarian of buildings. It is also reputedly the first car park in the UK to feature a continuous spiral parking ramp. At 2023 it is threatened with demolition for student flats (what else?). The Twentieth Century Society has launched a campaign for its listing.
