Double doors

This is a strange arrangement that I have not seen elsewhere. Two of the three houses in this Terrace have a main door and a (slightly) less ornate one below it. The main door is reached by a narrow path and elegant turning set of steps. The lower one is at the end of a paved ramp down from street level.
