Georgian style houses facing Ayscoughee hall across the Welland. The small white diamonds on the facia are double flagpole sockets. Perhaps dating back to Mafeking night, or some such thing, but certainly used regularly for Jubilees and for the much lamented Tulip weekend. It is odd that the further you go along the row the higher they are fitted.
