Boundary between Throckley and Heddon on the Wall

The trees mark the boundary between Throckey (now part of Newcastle) and Heddon (in Northumberland). The old drive to Heddon Hall, which runs south from the Hexham Road, is just beyond. The slight dip in the stubble field in the foreground is probably the course of the Roman Vallum which here has been almost ploughed out.
