Found along Denne Manor Lane, the stone above the middle window says 'Primitive Methodist Chapel 1875'. There was once a home-made war memorial here made from oak and pine. It is now in Chilham Church for safe-keeping - see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3757110 This link gives its details and it is noteworthy that even in this tiny place eight men linked with the village died in the Great War (although details of only seven are given) - see http://www.roll-of-honour.com/Kent/Shottenden.html
