View southward, towards Thornton Junction, Forth Bridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow: ex-NBR Edinburgh etc. - Dundee - Aberdeen main line, junction of lines to Newburgh and Perth, also formerly to Mawcarse. The line from Mawcarse was closed to Passengers from 5/6/50, to goods 9/10/67; local services to Newburgh ceased from 9/9/55 (goods 1/3/62), but since 6/10/75 - when the direct line through Kinross was supplanted by a Motorway (M9), the line has been used for Edinburgh - Perth services.
