Elgin Towers, a Grade II listed building of red sandstone built in Scottish Baronial style in 1887 for Mr Kennedy Cooke, a wealthy Scottish confectioner. Later, until 1982, it was used by an insurance company as offices, but is now a private residence again. It was the first house built in this area, which belonged to the Luttrells of Dunster.
