The narrow boat has just negotiated the tricky turn from the Coventry Canal under the 1837 cast iron bridge made in Derby. New housing is spreading along the north side of the canal. The lower gate of the stop-lock (15cm drop) from the Oxford Canal is just visible in the foreground. This excellent web page is well worth seeing : http://www.coventry-walks.org.uk/conservation-areas/hawkesbury-junction.html .
