Just to the left of centre of this view across the lake at Virginia Water there is a set of steps, with a boat tied alongside it. These once led to the 'Fishing Temple' which was built in 1825 by Sir Jeffry Wyatville as a retreat for King George IV. It was demolished in 1867.
