A most unusual looking house, with some historical features, such as the mullioned windows and large chimney stacks. Some of the house appears to date from the 16th century and may form part of what was the Archbishop of York's hunting lodge in the Ripon Parks deer park. Update 2026. The end wall is of the 16th century with ashlar ground floor and brick first floor with stone dressings. The house is Grade II* listed. [source Listed Buildings, North Yorkshire]
