Image: © Andrew Tryon Taken: 27 Nov 2010

This intercity express train kicks up clouds of fresh snow as it speeds northbound towards Edinburgh on the East Coast Mainline. The photo was taken looking south from the road bridge near High Weetslade and Dudley in Northumberland in November 2010. The snowfall was unusually heavy and early this year. For another photo, taken just up the line on the same day, see Image
