Buildings this red can only ever be the work of one man, Prudential's company architect, Alfred Waterhouse. According to the listing, this is his only building in Bristol. The style is Loire chateau - note the roofs and turreted corners. Terracotta above a granite plinth. Ornate shaped gables too. Built 1899. Grade II listed. Now occupied by a recruitment agency, Meridian Business Support.
