I had first spotted these cottages when passing by a few weeks earlier, was intrigued by the Gothick windows, and resolved to come back for a better look. When I eventually did so I noticed a plaque - perched high up on the parapet - which commemorates the fact that the poet Shelley once lived here. These days there are four dwellings, but it seems that in Shelley's day there was just the one address - 'Albion House' - later sub-divided: http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-412752-albion-house-shelley-cottage-shelley-hou
