Gleadless Townend tram stop is located in the central reservation of Ridgeway Road (part of Sheffield's outer ring road), and is provided with a crossover to enable trams to reverse (centre). This is the view north from the southbound platform; from here one can see where the northbound track joins the traffic in Ridgeway Road. Road style signs are provided to ensure that trams do not end up travelling the opposite way from the road traffic.
