The prominent notice at the start of the boardwalk gives information about just some of the various wildlife which can be seen in the 4 seasons:- Spring: Common Frog, Sedge Warbler, Orange-tip Butterfly, Three-spined stickleback. Summer: Common Darter Dragonfly, Reed Bunting, Large Red Damselfly, Ragged Robin. Autumn: Fieldfare, Yellowhammer, Common Pipistrelle Bat, Water Rail. Winter: Snipe, Kestrel, Roe Deer, Lesser Redpoll.
