Viewed from St David's Road. Alongside the MAES Y BWTHYN name sign, a rectangular area of tiles shows CARNARVON COTTAGE HOSPITAL 1900. The hospital formerly on this site was named Cottage Hospital until about 1955. It was the Eye and Cottage Hospital for the final two decades or so of its existence.
