From a train bound for Clapham Junction, the two platforms previously used for the "circular" service via Peckham Rye to London Bridge. The introduction of London Overground trains to Clapham Junction along most of that route and the need to use the train paths into London Bridge for expanded Thameslink services mean that the "circular" service no longer runs; accordingly, the platforms at Battersea Park are no longer needed. Extension of the platforms serving Clapham Junction so that they can take longer trains will cut off the route previously taken by the "circular" service. Here, the tracks are already lifted from platform 1, which housed trains from Victoria to London Bridge, whilst works going on at the Victoria end of the station had severed the surviving track on platform 2.
