Bunhill Fields Burial Ground

Bunhill fields was the main burial site in London for religious nonconformists from the late 17th century to the middle of the 19th century. The name is believed to have derived from 'bone hill'. The site suffered badly during the London Blitz of 1940-41, necessitating a re-arrangement of the gravestones. Few now stand in their original positions (though it had also been 'tidied up' by the Victorians). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunhill_fields
