Mickle Trafford Mill - south wheel

This is the framing of the south wheel that was undershot and has an iron shaft. It drove three pairs of stones that are still in situ. This is looking towards the tailrace. The mill has a second wheel and the remains of a drying kiln. There is a Trust to preserve the mill but money is required to progress its plans.
