Rightly or wrongly, following a 'bit of a row' in Bournemouth FC's Tunnel, Blackpool's Manager - Paul Ince - was given a Stadium Ban for five games. This means he can't enter the Stadium, at which Blackpool are playing for the duration of the ban. As a jokey sort of a protest the Blackpool Fans - together with the local Blackpool Gazette newspaper and Radio Wave - organised the printing of 10,000 Paul Ince masks. These were available free outside the ground, but with most people giving a charity donation to the Trinity and Brian House Charity and the Variety Children's Charity. There was a mixed reception to these masks with some supporters anti the idea ... but in my opinion it was all a bit of fun and was an opportunity for people to make a donation to two worthwhile charities. I wonder how many of those against the masks actually made a donation? Methinks ... not many. See also ... Image Image Image
