Castle Gates House, Shrewsbury

Built in the late 16th century in Dogpole, about 350 metres south of this location. It was moved here c1702 by the Earl of Bradford, so that the original site could be developed with the building of what is now the Guildhall. Castle Gates House underwent major restoration in the early 20th century.
