Downs Green Lane passes left to right beyond the triangular green, the photographer is standing in Amwell Lane, and Bull Lane is out of sight to the left. Left to right the finger plates read "Ayres End 1¼ and Redbourn 4" with "Sandridge 2" below, then "Wheathampstead 1¼ and Welwyn 5" with "Down Green ½ and Luton 7½" below. Sadly since Mike took his Image the salt/grit bin has appeared to have usurped the daffodils.
