Above the great south window of Image appear, from left to right, the arms or badges of: (1) the archiepiscopal See of Canterbury with the Primatial double cross (representing St Alphege, the Archbishop martyred in 1012, patron of Solihull parish and proto-patron of the chapel) (2) the Borough of Solihull; (3) the episcopal See of Birmingham, with the bishop's mitre as crest; (4) the School badge - see Image - and lastly (5) the wheel of St Katherine of Alexandria with the lilies of the Blessed Virgin Mary, co-patrons of the Chapel (the wheel is based on the arms of St Catharine's College Cambridge, alma mater of Brigadier Harry Butler Hitchens OBE who was Headmaster in the quatercentenary year when the Chapel was dedicated).
