View SE, towards East Grinstead, Lewes and Brighton on the line that branches right at Hurst Green Junction; to Eridge, Uckfield, Lewes and Brighton; Eridge, Polegate and Eastbourne, also Groombridge and Tunbridge Wells West, on the left branch. Services now run only as far as East Grinstead or Uckfield. This station was built new in 1961, opening on 12/6/61, as an upgrade of the Halt that had been situated 10 chains south. See also Image
