The car park is alongside the club's main building on the right. The Bristol Channel Yacht Club, established in 1875, was the first yacht club in the Bristol Channel area. The first Commodore of the club was Henry Hussey Vivian of Singleton (later Lord Swansea), whose steam yacht was named the Eothen. He remained Commodore until his death in 1894.
