The old Fire Brigade Station on Maclure Road dates from 1933 (Image]). It is currently for sale as a new premises are being built near Halifax Road. The old station will close when the new building is completed (http://www.manchesterfire.gov.uk/my_area/rochdale/rochdale_new_build.aspx greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Services)
