When I first lived in Warton ... mid 1960's - mid 1970's ... ... this pub didn't have the extensions at each end and was called the Clifton Arms. In the 1970's it was extended to include a Restaurant area ... and re-named as the Pickwick Tavern ... ... I have fond memories of celebrating my 21st Birthday there. Since 2012 its name has changed back to the Clifton Arms ... but the truth be told ... the locals never did call it the Pickwick Tavern! Now if the Yanks from BAD2 were still about ......... The huge BAe Systems site is to the rear of the pub. See also ... Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
