The Wills Memorial Tower viewed here from Park Street was commissioned in 1912 by George Alfred Wills and Henry Herbert Wills, of the Bristol tobacco company, W. D. & H. O. Wills. The building is a memorial to their father, Henry Overton Wills III, who was the first Chancellor of the University.
