This modern, double-aperture postbox stands close to the High Street, opposite the present location of the post office. It is fairly unusual that the two halves of the box are numbered separately by the Royal Mail. Rubbish bags are piled up alongside it, presumably awaiting collection from the council having been emptied from the city's litter bins.
